Always the best restaurant around here! The staff is so courteous, once we came in late not realizing that they were closing, we were discussing work and did not realize that we are the only customers there! The staff was so patient and kind that we did not even notice that we were inconveniencing them. Once the food arrived, I looked around and finally realized that we were holding them up. I appologized to the waiter, we gulped down our food, left a good tip and walked out. It was 2-3 years ago, but I am still so impressed!

My husband and I recently ate at J. Alexander's!!! We had no idea what we were missing. My husband had the Ribeye and I had the Filet...both mouthwatering. We plan to go again soon and I will get the Ribeye. Both steaks were awesome, however, the Ribeye was delectable! Great service and overall good experience. The only problem is that in Tennessee, you can still smoke in restaurants and to enter the restaurant, you have to go near the bar area which is so filled with cigarette smoke...truly detestable! Also have to go by the bar to go to the restroom. This is the only thing I hate about eating in restaurants in Tennessee. Georgian's don't have to contend with smoke any more...halleujah!
Pros: They don't take reservations, however, if you are a few minutes away
Cons: Cigarette smoke from bar area is offensive. Sit as far away from this area if you are a non-smoker.

between this restaurant and sticky fingers i can't figure out why i ever left chattanooga. anything that you order here is terrific, the ribs just fall off the bone and seem to melt in your mouth, the steaks are tender and juicy, there seafood and pasta entrees will make you wish your stomach could hold twice as much to allow you to just keep stuffing more and more in.
