Several local artists are sharing the space, and we are hoping to grow! This space was a candy factory and t-shirt mill..Before any of this, it bega as a yankee clipper ship! Artist Bio

Anne Dickson Bailey   Residence:  Chattanooga, Tennessee   Art Career:  I began my college career pursuing Advertising; Communications. Remembering a childhood dream of becoming an Artist, I added, spontaneously, another major; Art; Graphic Design.  Once I began my art courses, however, I realized my love for the fine arts had far exceeded my interest in the corporate world, and I received my B.F.A. in Graphic Design from The University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 1992. Medium:  While pursuing my Art degree, an intense passion for sculpture was ignited within my soul. Immediately, I began a series of paintings combined with collage and sculptural elements.  Although I have a great respect for each artistic medium I utilize, I find it difficult at times to not combine them. Thoughts:  It is my opinion for one to truly appreciate the good things in life, one must experience the opposite.  I have always been intrigued with opposites, and the constant struggle for these contrasting elements to coexist.  Good versus evil; harmony versus cacophony; and, joy versus sorrow are just a few integral components of my art.
