Orange Grove Center is a private, non-profit organization serving adults and children with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1953, Orange Grove was established by families of children with intellectual disabilities in Hamilton County, TN, who desperately needed educational services. Orange Grove now serves approximately 700 individuals, and employs approximately 750 professional staff members. The center provides a wide array of community services, including include day programs, health care services, dentistry, holistic therapies, educational curriculum (adults and children (ages 5-22 years)), vocational training and employment opportunities, nutritional management and residential services. A primary goal is to provide people with intellectual disabilities valuable and meaningful job opportunities. Regardless of the disability, everyone should experience work, volunteerism and normal life activities that are enriching.
